An updated 2022 guide to nail salons that have re-opened in Ho Chi Minh City.
Visitors to Ho Chi Minh City will be surprised to find that many spas and nail salons listed on Trip Advisor and Google Maps have closed due to Vietnam shutting its borders over the past two years. Now that the country has re-opened and businesses have begun to return to normal, only a handful of spas and nail salons catering to tourists in Saigon have restarted their service.
As Vietnam is in the early stages of re-opening, a lot of information on the web is still out of date. We have prepared a shortlist of the best nail salons that are currently open in the central districts. This is not a definitive list since it does not include businesses in other districts such as District 2 and 7 where they mainly cater to the expat community.
Nail Salons
A chain brand with four locations throughout the city, Fame Nails specializes in nail care with acrylics, Shellac and gel polish, and nail art. Other services include foot treatment, eyelash extension, and waxing.
Merci is another popular salon among the expat crowd known for their professionalism and was one of the first to offer waterless nail services. The comfortable sofas and relaxing atmosphere makes the experience enjoyable, in addition to the bonus of having an in-house cafe. They have an assortment of nail polishes including non-toxic brands, Shellac, and gels. A must-try is the Brazilian mani or pedi which includes the keratin and collagen masks for hydration and a hand/foot massage. Additional services include hair care from cuts, treatment, color, perm and straightening. They have two locations in Ho Chi Minh City.
Prive is a beauty spa known for their luxurious and professional nail services. The comfortable sofa seating, state of the art techniques and availability of organic, non-toxic, cruelty-free products makes a Prive a popular choice among the expat community and tourists alike. In addition to nail care, they also offer eyelash extension and facial care using Magnetic Infusion Technology (MIT) to deliver instant results. They currently have four locations in Ho Chi Minh City.
